This section answers some of the questions we at Carpet Attack
are most frequently asked. If you have further questions please

Which method of carpet cleaning is best - Steam or Dry (Polymerisation)
clean?
There are many different factors which need to be considered
including:
- The length of time since last clean
- The degree of soiling to the carpet
- Do children or pets frequent the carpet
If your carpet is heavily soiled or has not been cleaned for some
time then steam cleaning may be the best solution for your carpets
however if you prefer a quiet clean and fast dry time then polymerisation
might be the answer. This is a difficult question to answer and
will depend on your specific situation.
Some carpet contractors only offer a single cleaning system and
will therefore degrade the other method to promote themselves.
Carpet Attack offer both methods of cleaning, for an equal price,
and are experienced in inspecting your carpets and evaluating your
personal circumstance to provide you with an unbiased opinion. Our
experience has shown that each method is preferable in different
settings and our staff are trained and qualified to produce a high
quality clean from each.

How often should I clean my carpets?
Carpet manufacturers specify that in order to maintain carpets
in good order and reach their maximum life span they should be
cleaned every 12 months. This is to remove unseen bacteria, soils
and allergens which cause damage to the carpet fibre.
It is OK to have carpets cleaned more regularly, if cleaned professionally,
as our methods do not damage individual carpet fibres. If anything,
when carpets are soiled the quicker the soil is removed the longer
the carpet will last.

If I have my carpets cleaned will they get dirtier quicker?
Carpet Attack hear this question from a lot of new customers
and it stems from their previous experience with contractors using
10 - 20 year old technology. The problem arises when the contractor
uses an injection of high ph detergent and fails to remove it
using a rinsing agent. The result is similar to skipping the rinse
cycle in your washing machine, detergent left in your carpet will
leave it sticky and attract re-soiling.
Carpet Attack use the latest technology in cleaning methods where
carpet is pre sprayed and treated before being cleaned with a
rinse agent that completely removes the cleaning agent.
We take great pride in what we do and customer satisfaction is
very important to us. For these reasons our technicians are ACCI
trained and qualified and we ensure that all of our carpets are
cleaned to the Australian Standard AUS/NZ 383.

How much should I pay to have my carpets cleaned?
How much you should pay is determined by the standard of clean
you want performed. A quality job will take more time to work
through the seven stages and you can expect to pay around $35
per standard room as opposed to a four stage clean which would
cost around $25 per standard room.
Don't be caught out by the cheap carpet contractors who offer
a one stage clean for $15 per room. Our customer feedback shows
that they are unlikely to hold insurance or take complaints seriously
and that they will need to revisit four times to match the result
offered by Carpet Attack.
Carpet Attack are committed to excellence and you will see this
in our work.
