Steam cleaning
Steam cleaning, commonly known as Hot Water Extraction, requires
specific treatment to ensure your carpets are cleaned thoroughly
and correctly.
Seven Step Clean
Our seven step steam clean will leave your floor clean and near
touch dry.
- The pre-inspection of carpets where we analyse fibre
type to match the appropriate cleaning agent.
- Thoroughly vacuum with our commercial grade vacuum system.
- Pre-spray the surfaces with applicable cleaning agent.
- Heavily soiled carpets may require treatment with our
rotary brush, allowing cleaning agent to penetrate carpet.
- Spot stains are treated and removed.
- Steam clean (hot water extraction) using specially formulated
rinse agents which not only remove the dirt but also the
initial cleaning agent. This is very important as it will
prevent your carpet from re-soiling quickly.
- The carpet is raked to restore the carpet pile to the
natural state.

Don't be fooled
Many carpet cleaners perform steam cleaning in a manner known
as 'splash and dash'. This is a cheap and nasty way of cleaning
your carpets which does not remove the cleaning agent from the
carpet fibres, leaving it sticky and causing it re-soil quickly.
Have you ever heard people mention that 'since I've had my carpet
cleaned it seems to get dirtier quicker'?

Polymerisation cleaning
(New environmentally friendly technology)
This method is used as an alternative to steam cleaning and
will not only clean your carpets but also maintain them into the
future.
A cleaning agent known as Polymerisation (Encapsulator) wraps
around the soil in your carpet and converts it to a white crystal
which is then removed through routine vacuuming.
The Polymerisation solution incorporates a compound known as Teflon
which you may know from its use in protectors for carpet fibre
and upholstery. The Teflon acts as a cleaning agent throughout
the Polymerisation process and provides the extra benefit of protecting
individual carpet fibres from being penetrated by soil in the
future.
The Polymerisation method
- The pre-inspection of carpets where we analyse fibre
type to match the appropriate cleaning agent.
- Thoroughly vacuum with our commercial grade vacuum system.
- Spot stains are treated individually.
- The Polymerisation solution is pre-sprayed onto the
carpet.
- The solution is agitated into the carpet using our carpet
friendly orbital brush.
- The carpet fibre is raked to restore fresh pile condition

Advantages of Polymerisation
There are many advantages of using this method to clean your
carpets, one being that it that helps to protect your carpet from
re-soiling.
Polymerisation offers a speedy dry time of 1 hour and can be walked
on after ½ hour, which is great for a busy household. The
process is quiet to complete, environmentally friendly and leaves
your carpets safe for crawling babies.
Environmental Benefits
 |
- Polymerisation uses one twentieth of the water that
steam cleaning requires
- The process is energy friendly and uses only small amounts
of electricity
- There is no need to run carbon emitting truck during
the cleaning process
- Significantly less carbon emissions are produced in
manufacturing tools of trade
